Vince Francisco, Licensed Physiotherapist, Certified Athletic Therapist
Vince graduated in 2018 with his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba. He also obtained his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Recreation Management (Athletic Therapy) from the University of Manitoba in 2015 and is a Certified Athletic Therapist. Vince uses a combination of patient education, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise to treat his patients and to maximize their functional outcomes. He is experienced in providing preventive care and rehabilitative techniques for many musculoskeletal injuries. Vince is an active volunteer within the community and you can also find him providing Sport First Responder services at local and/or national sports events. Vince has a large interest in physical activity and fitness, and he is excited to share that passion with his clients.
Neil Bio, Registered Massage Therapist
Neil is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Robertson College in April 2020 and is currently a member of the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba. He enjoys using various techniques like deep tissue or trigger point therapy to help clients reduce pain or maintain health. He is a hardworking individual who is eager to learn more and grow in his profession. In his free time, he likes to play sports and video games.
Abby Mendoza, CAT(C), BKin-AT
Abby Mendoza is a Certified Athletic Therapist who graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2018. During her studies, she worked with a variety of university sports team and worked with the Women’s Bison Basketball as the Head Student AT. She worked in different clinics and treated university athletes and the general public. Abby is diligent, patient and hardworking with a strong desire to continuously obtain knowledge and experience in clinic and field. She is dedicated, as an athletic therapist, to providing optimal patient care and to return patients back to work/sport and what they love to do. Abby loves to do calligraphy in her down time, trying new things and adventuring in the outdoors.
Paul Lubi, CAT(C), BKin-AT,
Paul Lubi is a Certified Athletic Therapist who graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology majoring in Athletic Therapy in 2018. Paul challenged the National CATA exam and certified as an Athletic Therapist later in the same year. Throughout his university career, Paul has garnered over 1200 hours of clinical and field experience through his practicums with a variety of clinics across the city and at the university, university-level sports teams as well as high-school level sports teams mainly consisting of football, basketball, and soccer. Paul is a determined, motivated, and driven individual who is passionate about helping his patients overcome their diagnosis in order to help instill patient confidence, robustness, and resiliency needed to return to activities of daily living and return to sport. Aside from the clinic, Paul enjoys working the field during the spring and summer seasons with sporting events and tournaments. Paul’s hobbies include travelling, motorcycles, cars, basketball, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Cristine Pineda, CAT(C), BKin-AT
Cristine Pineda is a multilingual Certified Athletic Therapist, primarily speaking in English and Tagalog. She is a 2016 University of Manitoba graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Recreation Management specializing in Athletic Therapy. In the same year, she was able to certify as an Athletic Therapist. During her time as a student at the University of Manitoba she worked with several Bison sports teams, including the men’s volleyball team, and then serving as the head athletic therapist, as a certification candidate, for the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s basketball team. In the community, she has worked with numerous athletes and teams participating in a variety of different sports such as high school basketball, tennis, and community and beach volleyball.
Christian Valete, BKin-AT
Christian graduated in 2020 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology majoring in Athletic Therapy. He is currently preparing to write the National Certification Exam in the Fall of 2021 to certify as an Athletic Therapist. Throughout his University career, Christian worked with high-level athletes from the Women's Bison Basketball team as the head student therapist and generated hundreds of clinical hours at various multidisciplinary clinics. Christian is experienced in acute and chronic injury management in order to get you back to an active and healthy lifestyle. Christian's top priority is to provide treatments and rehabilitation techniques in order to get patients moving pain-free. During his free time, Christian enjoys fishing, spending time with family, and gaming on his PC.
K. Jill Reimer, CAT(C), BSc.
Jill is a Certified Athletic Therapist who graduated from the University of Winnipeg with her Bachelor of Science in 2018. Jill loves working with patients in different aspects, whether it is in the clinic or in the field setting where she works with different teams. She has had the privilege of providing athletic therapy with Murdoch MacKay high school football, the U16 and U18 Provincial football teams as well as with the Winnipeg Rifles Junior football club. She is currently trying something new and loving working with the St. Vital Victoria’s Junior hockey team. Jill has had the privilege to learn from excellent Athletic Therapists and is excited to apply her knowledge and skill towards the healing journey of her patients.
Mac Capuno, CAT(C), BSc.
Mac graduated from the University of Winnipeg acquiring his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, in the spring of 2018. During his time as a student athletic therapist he had the opportunity to learn and work alongside many Certified Athletic Therapists who were very influential in his personal growth as a student whether it be in the clinic or on the field. He was also very fortunate to have worked with multiple sports teams at the university level but as well as within the secondary high school level. He also devoted his time to volunteer as part of the medical staff team at the 2017 Canada Summer Games and the 2018 Manitoba Winter Games. Mac is always eager to learn more about the profession of athletic therapy and is looking forward to applying his knowledge and skills in order to positively influence the health care system within the community.
